He noted that the 2010 charter ushered in a new era of citizen-driven governance, devolution, equitable development, and enhanced protection of fundamental freedoms.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"769\" data-end=\"980\">\u201cThe promulgation of the 2010 Constitution was a defining moment in our nation\u2019s history. It signified a renewed commitment to justice, fairness, and prosperity for all Kenyans,\u201d the proclamation read in part.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"982\" data-end=\"1372\">Katiba Day will remain a working day, but Ruto directed that it be observed across all levels of government, including schools and Kenya\u2019s diplomatic missions abroad. Institutions will be expected to organize activities that promote constitutional literacy and civic engagement, ensuring that citizens continue to reflect on the values and principles enshrined in the supreme law.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1374\" data-end=\"1692\">The announcement coincides with preparations to mark the 15th anniversary of the Constitution\u2019s promulgation on Wednesday.
