During an emotional burial ceremony for the late Christopher Onsongo\u2014a respected neighbour and longtime friend\u2014held at Kapkures, aspiring Nakuru West MP Hon. Robinas Makana made a bold declaration that resonated with residents. He lamented the poor state of roads in Kapkures and Baruti, describing them as a disgrace and a sign of neglect by current leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBarabara za Kapkures na Baruti ni aibu\u201d Makana proclaimed passionately, promising that if elected in 2027, his first priority will be to restore dignity through infrastructure development, starting with roads that connect people, businesses, and essential services.<\/p>\n

Makana used the platform not only to pay tribute to the late Onsongo but also to call for transformative leadership focused on results, not rhetoric. He highlighted the challenges residents have endured for years\u2014inaccessibility, and economic stagnation\u2014emphasizing that enough is enough.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we need is leadership that listens, plans, and acts,\u201d he said. \u201cIn 2027, I\u2019m coming in not just to occupy an office but to work.\u201d<\/p>\n

In support for Makana\u2019s vision, chants of \u201cJembe Mpya!\u201d in unison\u2014 is a sign that the winds of change could be blowing through Nakuru West.<\/p>\n
