This week will be very critical to the Building bridges initiative pundits as they expect more counties to pass the Bill.
KANU leader William Kamket remarked that the MCA’s who rejected BBI need special prayers as they did not understand what they were doing.
“BBI must & should pass. Those against BBI have not been man enough to speak up. We will reach the threshold of 24 counties & move on to succession politics,”Kamket said.
Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi warned that by 24 counties passing BBI threshold will be achieved, but he is not sure whether BBI will be passed.
He mocked Gideon Moi for not being able to govern MCA’s in his county, as he wondered how he will be able to govern Kenyans if he was to get presidency.
” Deputies differing with their bosses is because of fear that deputies might outshine them. As principal assistant, your work is not to worship the boss but to counsel. I have never refused to do duties given to me,” Joash Maangi remarked.
Anthony Oluoch said that the leader of opposition as intended by BBI is not to find placement its about oversight of govt.
He continued to say passing BBI was a result of top leadership organizing meetings. KANU’s ability to champion BBI while it has been shut in Baringo is questionable.
