Ruto has been fielding candidates using UDA party after he fell out with Jubilee as what is seen as preparation to test his political muscles ahead of the much awaited 2022 presidential race.

On Friday UDA’s Senatorial candidate in Machakos County Urbanus Ngengele lost massively to wiper party’s Agnes Kavindu. Agnes Kavindu got 104800 votes against Urbanus Ngengele who got 19704 of the total vote cast.

This lost came barely two weeks after UDA’S lost parliamentary candidates to ANC and Ford Kenya In Matungu and Kabuchai Constituencies respectively. Political analysts had predicted a tough battle in Machakos senatorial race between Kavindu and Ngengele because of the influence of the former Machakos Senator who was was supporting Ngengele UDA Candidate, who is also ex-husband of Agnes Kavindu.

Defending Dp popularity Soy Mp Caleb Kositany said the Machakos senatorial by-elections results is a clear demonstration that UDA is a party to watch. “The results demonstrated that UDA can field a candidate anywhere in Kenya. It is a party beyond tribe, race, religion or status,” He said.
