The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has criticized president Uhuru Kenyatta shortly after his covid-19 address to the nation. President Uhuru Kenyatta has Today 6th July 2020 given out measures and orders to be followed in a bid to curb covid-19 spread in the country.

In his address,Uhuru dismissed the cessation of movement in and out of the counties of Nairobi, Mombasa and Mandera. However, senator Murkomen has criticized the action of reopening Nairobi and Mombasa, asserting that it will mutilpy the covid-19 infections 10 times.

In his tweet he pinned, Murkomen Futher expressed his worry to the older folks countryside who are Vulnerable to the virus. According to president Uhuru, the dismissal of cessation of movement in and out of counties of Nairobi, Mombasa and Mandera will take Effect as from tomorrow 7th July 2020.

“I really hope I am wrong but lifting Cessation of Movement in and out of Nairobi and Mombasa will multiply the infections 10 times. I am really worried about our older folks in the countryside. Anyway what do I know ?” Kipchumba Murkomen asserted

Additionally, President Uhuru extended the nationalwide curfew for another 30 days. Churches and places of worship were announced to re-open within 3 weeks after his address but under tough adherence of covid-19 measures stipulated.

President Uhuru Further asked Kenyans to take sole responsibility after the dismiss of cessation of movement by making sure the individuals from spotted areas aren’t spreading the virus to their fellows. Uhuru said it’s a personal responsibility of every individual to ensure fully adherence of preventive measures to curb the spread of the disease.
