Here Are Names of 10 Other Kenyans Who Received Huduma Number Card With President Uhuru

As kenyans celebrate the Mashujaa day, President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta led the country in recognizing heroes and heroins in the country at Gusii stadium in Kisii county.

The two also received their Huduma Namba cards during the event.

The Huduma number cards were presented to the president and his wife by the Attorney General Paul Kihara Kariuki.

Also in attendance was interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i who explained that the Huduma Namba cards will be rolled out as soon as the National Assembly completes the process of appointment of the Data commissioner as had been directed by the High Court.

“On behalf of my colleagues in the inter-ministerial committee on this historic day I would like to report that the process is now complete and we have developed the Huduma Namba. Your Excellency, today you and the First Lady will be the first recipients of the sample Huduma Namba card which we hope will be rolled out as soon as the National Assembly completes the process of the appointment of the Data Commissioner as directed by the High Court,” Interior CS Fred Matiang’i said.

President Uhuru Kenyatta handed out ten other Huduma Namba cards for validation to  individuals where he offered guidance on the rollout. The ten individuals were: Laban Ouru Siro, Evans Amenya Bosire, Gwaro Nchoga,Kevin Bwire Muvambi,Lawrence Nyaluga Omambia, Aloyce Mosoti Okero, Sylvester Achuka Mose, Boniface Moseti Oyaro, Evans, Evans Michael Mose and Henry Lerioka Nyabuto Onderi.

The Head of State stressed out the roll out will be in strict observance of the directions of the High Court.

In regards to the Huduma Bill 2019, the unique number is to be assigned to every resident individual at birth or upon enrollment. The new law has also installed the position of a Data Commissioner who will be in charge of keeping data for Kenyans safe.
