Health Condition of Two Children Stabbled By Brutal Mother in Nairobi


One woman who is believed to be a house help has been arrested for allegedly assaulting two children in Nairobi.

Yesterday in the evening, the suspect was arrested in Eldoret in a Busia-bound bus, several hours after photos and a video clip of the injured children began to circulate on social media platforms.

The Police officers believed that the woman stabbed the minors aged 5 and 11 after some kind of disagreement with her employer which eventually ended up seeing her being fired on Thursday. It is reported that she sneaked back into the employer’s house which is in Nairobi’s Greenfield Estate in Donholm only to attack the children and ran.

The two children are in critical condition fighting for their lives at a Nairobi hospital with one of them reportedly being scheduled to undergo a surgery.

The DCI boss Mr George Kinoti, confirms the arrest of the suspect following the overwhelming public outcry over photos and video clips that were circulating on social media of the young woman brutalizing minors belonging to her former employer.

The DCI revealed that the suspect had two identification cards.

The video clip is showing the children’s clothes being covered with blood-stain and one of them having a white bandage wrapped around the head. The close by neighbor is seen appealing for police help in tracing the woman accused of assault.

The video is appearing to have been shot in a health facility where the children were taken for treatment.

Yesterday, the media sources visited the family at their house in Nairobi and confirms that the family was still in disbelief and they declined to speak to the media at that moment concerning the incident but promised to do some days later.

The woman is reported to have served the family for the past two years.

According to DCI, the woman who is the criminal in this case, was caught escaping hoping to sneak out of the country to a neighboring country where she is believed to have some relatives.

The photos of the children ignited public outcry after their parents and the social media users appealed to the police to take some action.

Finally the DCI thanked the members of the public who helped in providing crucial information. Equally, thanking the transport company belonging to the Eldoret Express Bus for cooperating with his agents.
