Finally Ministry of Education Clears Air On The Following Questions Often Asked By Parents

Following the development of competency-Based curriculum (CBC) most of the parents are left uninformed about the move as the ministry of education set to succeed the new curriculum.

 

However, parents are seeking to know more about the new curriculum. Reports by Daily Nation states that parents and Education stakeholders have many questions on how the CBC will affect learning.

However, the ministry of education has answered the question often asked by parents and Education stakeholders on CBC.

 

Among the questions that as been addressed by the ministry of education are, the number of years Learners will spend at each level and school in total, What will happen at the end of every level and whether KCPE and KCSE exams will be retained.

Other question is whether Learners transition to secondary school will be younger under 8-4-4 system. Parents are seeking to know what will be learnt in the three pathway in the senior secondary and which school will offer them. Another query is on the difference on how Learners are taught in 8-4-4 and CBC curriculum.

Additional, parents and stakeholders are seeking to be told the counties that were used to benchmark the CBC, learning areas that will be under CBC and whether schools are prepared for the full implementation of CBC.
