The cabinet secretary for Education Professor George Magoha on the 18th of June made a surprise announcement concerning the dates of KCPE and KCSE examinations.
“KCSE and KCPE candidates will sit for the exams in April 2021 if schools reopen in September, “Education CS Magoha said.
Magoha revealed that if the Primary and secondary schools reopen in September this year then it will be very possible for the sit for the exams In April 2021.
Education cabinet secretary was set to tour Nakuru girls to check on their readiness for the reopening of schools In September this year.
“I am glad the CS Education has acknowledged the reality. Even if it goes beyond next year, NO PROBLEM. We must protect our Children by all means,” Murkomen Said.
Former majority leader for the Senator Kipchumba Murkomen Elgeyo Marakwet thanked the government for taking into consideration the health of the students first when making the decision concerning the reopening schools.
On Sunday 14th June George Magoha, when he visited the Kakamega primary where as stampede happened remarked that schools will reopen September but under very strict measures such as Sanitation, social distance and adherence to social distancing.
