Deputy president William Ruto on the 18th of June, started a campaign to support the youth in overcoming the negative economic impact that was caused by the Corona Virus pandemic. William Ruto presented an assortment of items that included car washing machines, motor cycles, water tanks and animal feed to 30 youth and women groups from Dagoreti South, Embakasi North and Embakasi West Constituencies in Karen, Nairobi County.
“Small micro enterprises run by the youth and women have been greatly affected by the Covid19 pandemic. The revival of this sector is fundamental to our overall economic recovery,” said William Ruto.
He further revealed that they are giving support and creating opportunities for these change makers to get them back on their feet and be self-reliant.
Dp Ruto has continued to support the vulnerable families and people through his charity initiatives and donations across Nairobi and Kiambu county.
However, recently he faced a challenge when his political enemies gave out poisonus food stuffs to Kiambu residents under his name which tarnished his name greatly.
The deputy president is renown for his genouristy to Kenyans, before the Corona virus pandemic he used to visit churches and make donations and contributions that helped in building the houses of worship.
