Covid-19 Update: 3,773 Tested, 212 Recovered, 4 Succumb As Total Cases Shoots To 95,431

Covid-19 is still a menace in the country. All Kenyans are still urged to continue observing the measures put in place by the Ministry of Health especially during this festive season.

 

For instance, 236 people have tested positive for the virus today from 3,773 samples that were tested in the last twenty four hours. The total number of infections in the country has now increased to 95,431. Total cumulative samples tested since March are over one million.

From today’s cases, in terms of nationality, 211 are Kenyans while 25 are foreigners. Basing on gender, 134 are males while the remaining 102 are females. The youngest of all is a three-year old child while the oldest is 85 years old.

 

Positively, 212 patients have recovered from the pandemic pushing the total number of recoveries to 76,720. From the recoveries, 173 were on the home based care system while 39 were discharged from various hospitals.

 

 

On a sad note, 4 more patients succumbed to the virus in the past twenty four hours. This now brings the total number of fatalities to 1,652. May their souls rest in eternal peace. This virus continues to claim lives of Kenyans and therefore all Kenyans should take precaution so as to continue staying safe.

 

The positive cases were distributed in the counties as follows;

 

Nairobi 99, Mombasa 49, Kitui 23, Kakamega 7, Nakuru 6, Kiambu 6, Kisumu 5, Busia 5, Vihiga 3, Kajiado 3, Kisii 3, Taita Taveta 2, Machakos 2, Makueni 2, Meru 2, Siaya 2, Tharaka Nithi 2, Bungoma 1, Homa Bay 1, Nyamira 1, Trans Nzoia 1 and Kilifi 1. Nairobi county continues to lead with highest number on a daily basis.
