Citizen TV Journalist Leaks Worrying Details On Uhuru

Citizen TV journalist Yvonne Okwara had some harsh sentiments on the speech made by president Uhuru Kenyatta earlier in the week. Speaking on News Gang on Thursday January 21, Okwara noted that the president was acting like a lame duck.

Okwara mentioned that the Mother tongue speech had some points where Uhuru Kenyatta seemed like he had lost control of his government.

This was also pointed out when the president revealed that Ksh2 billion was being stolen on a daily basis through scandals and other corrupt deals.

“The ‘efficiency’ of this government goes beyond especially when you look at what is happening in Nairobi County, ” Okwara said.

She disclosed that the exchange of power that was happening in the county despite court appeals proved that the government was ‘efficient’.

Citizen TV’s News Gang hosted by Okwara, Francis Gachuri, Jamila Mohammed, Joe Ageyo and Linus Kaikai had a lot to say about the speech and how it summed up the current government.

Uhuru Kenyatta earlier in the week spoke in his native Kikuyu language majorly addressing the central region of Kenya. The speech was disseminated in all Kikuyu radio stations.

The president spoke on a lot of issues touching on leadership and succession politics. Kenyans, however, we’re shocked with the daily loss of government funds and it is all they have been talking about all week.
