By elections being carried out in various parts of the country has been accompanied with violence has as voters cast their ballots.
The elections which is being carried in seven different electoral areas faced a lot of challenges as rival politicians clashes.
In Kisii county, police clashed with United Democratic Alliance (UDA) supporters following the arrest of Moses Nyandusi Nyakeremba, who is contesting in the Kiamokama ward by-election.
Elsewhere in Kakamega County, Ex Sports Cabinet Secretary, Rashid Echesa was caught on video slapping an IEBC official at Bulonga polling station.
Police have launched a manhunt for Echesa after the video went viral.
He is reported to have disappeared after the incident which occurred at Bulonga polling station.
In the video capturing the incident, a visibly angry Echesa is seen lecturing the IEBC official accusing him of chasing one of their agents out of the polling station as voting continued.
“Our agents are outside the polling station my friend. You cannot chase our agents outside. Why are you chasing them outside? Uliambiwa by who?” said Echesa on the video before slapping the election official.
Another chaos erupted at Milimani Primary School polling station in London Ward as in Nakuru county. Rowdy youth accused the Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir of bribing voters during the voting exercise.
Security officers were forced to use teargas to disperse the protesters.
During the fracas, journalists sustained injuries as Korir’s vehicle got smashed.
MP Korir and other leaders allied to the Deputy President William Ruto including Senators Susan Kihika and Kipchumba Murkomen were ordered out of the polling centre by the Nakuru elections manager Silas Rotich.
However, they resisted the move but got teargassed as they were forced out of the station.
