Blogger Edgar Obare Speaks About Life Behind Kenyan Police Cells After Being Released

Popular Kenyan blogger Edgar Obare is finally a free man after spending three nights at Gigiri police station. The arrested blogger was released on sh.100,000 cash bail and is now awaiting trial for leaking out and unlawfully publishing personal details and private information relating to County 001 Governor Ali Hassan Joho and Natalie Tewa’s entanglement and private affairs.

The popular blogger had a story to tell of what his experience was as a fugitive since it was his first time behind bars. On Monday, 3rd August, he went online on a live session to share his experience with his die-hard who were eagerly waiting and had missed his tea, most of whom are ladies and they could do nothing to help other than feel sorry and pity for him.

Being the soft spoken man he is, his concerned fans wanted to know if he really was okay and if he was bullied or harrassed while in the cells and how he handled all that if he truly was harrassed. Mr. Obare went ahead and narrated his experience to the netizens relating it to the high school life experience stating that it wasn’t as bad as he had expected it to be.

He went on to reveal that he spent cold nights at the cells, ate ugali and sukumawiki both for lunch and supper for the three days he was there, and for breakfast, he was usually served tea with no bread. Turns out that the Gigiri police station cell life experience wasn’t that bad and the police officers there handled everything in a professional way and he says he had nothing to complain about apart from the cold nights. Edgar says that he is still growing strong and at some point he threw shade at baby Katerina for getting him arrested even though it was only for a few days.
