The building bridges initiative report that was launched at Bomas has attracted mixed reactions from leaders from all side of the political divide.

Leaders allied to the president Uhuru Kenyatta and the former prime minister Raila Odinga insist that the report is okay and that there is no need for further amendment.

On the other hand the Deputy President Dr William Ruto suggests that it is important that all parties to be given an opportunity to go through the document before it can passed.

Raila Odinga’s team claims that the push for changes by the Ruto is just but a delay tactic to slow the process of passing the referendum since he already squandered the opportunity that he was given to give his views.

There’s a cause of concern as Kenyans have started taking political sides before reading the BBI document as they claim that leaders have read for them.

Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta have found themselves in a mess as one of the BBI intiative taskforce member raised alarm that the final document was altered illegally.

Maj (Rtd) John Seii revealed that his colleagues were asked hurriedly to sign the document that was supposed to be handed over to the president and the former prime minister without having reviewed it.
