Big Blow To All Cabinet Secretaries As Uhuru Issues Another Tough Order

President Uhuru Kenyatta has barred all Cabinet Secretaries from travelling outside Nairobi due to the increase in Covid-19 cases across the country.

Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua said that CSs should not travel out of Nairobi for the next one week.
This comes days after a local media house reported that at least three CSs had contacted Covid-19 and are in self isolation.
“You are advised not to move out of Nairobi for the next one week until advised otherwise.,”the letter read.
With the rise of the Covid-19 cases,CSs have been seen racing against time to inspect and complete development projects ahead of September when they are to appear before the President for Appraisals.
During a meeting, the President assured the Cabinet Secretaries,Chief Administrative Secretaries and Principal Secretaries that he will not sack them.
He added that the state officers will be rated based on their performance and completion of projects.
Completion of projects will be adopted as a key performance indicator for all the Cabinet Secretaries.
The President had ordered the top Government Officials to get out of their offices and tour development sites.
