Bad News To Ruto After Raila And Uhuru’s Major Shocker

The Building bridges initiative agitated a new debate amongst the Kenyan political class with some supporting while others opposing.
President Uhuru and the former prime minister Raila Odinga are of the opinion that BBI should be passed without any amendments being done on it.
Whereas Ruto’s side feels that there are sections in the BBI that need to be changed so as to accommodate the views and needs of all Kenyans.
Last week Raila Odinga met the leaders from the Pastrolists communities where he took their views and suggestions on the report.
It seemed like a relief to Ruto’s camp as they thought he had accepted the changes they were pushing for in the report, however Raila Odinga clarified it was just but editorial work which will be done on the document.
Ruto has Suffered a major blow as Raila vowed not to turn back in the push for a referendum, he announced during the meeting with coastal leaders at the coast that they are going to start the process of collecting signatures very soon.
The collection of signatures will start from next week after Raila Odinga meets the council of governors and the women Representatives.
