Yoweri Museveni is amongst African longest serving presidents who has not shown any sign or plans of retiring from office.

Constant attacks and humiliation on his Opponents such as Bobi Wine is a clear indication that he is not determined to come out of power very soon.

The opposition party led by his fierce opponent claims that one of members of the security team was killed in one of the rallies that happened a few months ago.

Despite the constant push for the 76 years old to resign from power, Moses Khisa, assistant professor of political science at North Carolina State University believes that the Ugandan president is not likely to leave office since he views himself as the person who will liberate Africa from all soughts of misery.

When the leader took over power in 1986 putting an end to hostility and bloodshed many people were very optimistic that he could change the face of African politics from dictatorship to democracy.

Ghetto born Opposition leader Bobi Wine who used to dress on youthful and had drealocks but now dresses in designer suits has continued to garner fame amongst the Ugandans.

The 38 year old has been seen as the person who is likely to save Ugandans from all soughts of problems they are facing.

Museveni has a big challenge since almost three quarters of the Ugandans are below the age of 30 years which gives Bobi Wine a very big competitive advantage.

It is not very clear whether the elections are going to be free and fair since even the European Union body has threatened to withdraw from the election observation.
