Arsenal  escaped embarrassment as they won at home against Portuguese giants Benfica. According to Sky Sports on Thursday February 25, Arsenal won 3-2 to advance.

A first goal by Captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in the 21st minute put the Gunners ahead. A neat work from Bukayo Saka had Aubameyang finding it easy to score.

Benfica, however, replied with a sumptuous Freekick through Diogo Goncalves in the 43rd minute. This goal brough back Benfica into the game.

A mistake by the Arsenal defence put Rafa Silva in a scoring position and he wasted no chances. Silva rounded of Arsenal goalkeeper Leno to score Benfica’s second of the night.

Defender Kieran Tierney did not let things slide as he produced one of the magical moments of the night. His strike in the 67th minute was just what his team needed.

Saka then turned up again to provide another assist as Aubameyang headed home a crucial goal in the 87th minute to send Arsenal cruising through.

The two teams had drawn 1-1 in the first leg and the aggregate score came to 4-3 in favor of the London outfit.
