Deputy president Dr William Ruto suffered a major setback during the London Ward By-elections campaigns as leaders close to him were arrested.
The Police teargassed the United Democratic Alliance supporters who came to rally their support behind their Candidate.
A Video which was shared online showed that the Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Dagoretti MP John Kiarie and Nyali MP Mohamed tried to approach the police barricade but were stopped.
William Ruto’s close Supporter Dennis Itumbi, in a post he made on twitter said that Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika narrowly escaped arrest by Police.
Itumbi regretted that the cops towed all her vehicles to the Police Station, London Ward UDA Candidate vehicles.
“Siasa ya Deep State ya Kifua,Teargas na Handcuffs.It will be defeated by the People and Their God on the ballot,” Dennis Itumbi asserted.
Ruto while addressing his Supporters at Kabarnet told the police to stop intimidating his Supporters as witnessed at Nakuru.
He dug dip into the incident which was witnessed at Kisii where the deputy governor Joash Maangi and South Mugirango Mp Silvanus Osoro was arrested without any grounds.
The deputy president vowed that he will not leave the government since he was elected together with the president Uhuru by Kenyans.
