All Classes To Reopen Cries Intensify Ahead Of Uhuru Address

The president Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to make an announcement concerning the nation wide Curfew, the re-opening of schools and the churches.

The Education Cabinet secretary Professor George Magoha over the past few days has insisted that students who are at school will no close again because the students are safe.

November 4th, Citizen TV held an interview with the Knut secretary general Wilson Sossion nominated senator Janet Ouko to get his perspective concerning the re-opening of schools.

Wilson Sossion said they were envisaged and guided by the experts that the second wave could occur.” What we should be talking about now is how to approach the resumption of schools in the face of the furiously surging COVID-19,” Sossion remarked.

On the hand Janet Ouko asserted that Keeping learners out of school is even riskier and schools are still open in countries worst hit than ourselves.
Janet Ouko said,”We must classify Education as an essential service. We cannot open everywhere including rallies and expect schools will be safe.”

Knut Secretary General revealed that when we reopened schools and allowed only a small group of students this was for schools to test the infrastructure of COVID-19 preventive measures and there are lessons and experiences we have to learn.

The Covid-19 positivity rate is still alarming which has placed the government in cross roads concerning the resumption of learning in the country.
