The end of Delocalization of Teachers that called teachers to transfer to their home counties has faced a major blow after details emerge.
The legislative act that called the end of Delocalization of Teachers was passed in Parliament, seeking a teacher to be only transferred within the zone.
Teachers Service Commission, TSC called upon Delocalized teachers who would wish to be transferred to their home counties to fill the transfer request form.
However, a major blow as emerged in Rift Valley as teachers ‘s transfer put on hold till April 2023.
Teachers have been advised to register at county director office if I need of following up the transfer request.
Kenya National Union of Teachers, KNUT blamed Regional Director of Education for allegedly holding Teachers’ transfer letter seeking for immediate release of letters.
According to Director of Education in Western region Charles Ong’ondo, Teachers Transfer Letters will be issued by Teachers Service Commission from the head office, then to the regional office, where they will be channeled to counties then ultimately to respective sub-counties office.
Teachers are asking County education offices in Rift Valley Region to release transfer letters following the scrapping off of Delocalization of Teachers.
