6 Things Witnessed In Chelsea’s 3-0 Win Against West Ham

On Monday December 21, Chelsea welcomed West Ham United at the Stamford Bridge. It was a premier league match in which both teams gave their all. Chelsea beat West Ham 3-0. The Blues now sit at position 5 in the premier league table with 25 points while West Ham are in position 10 with 21 points. The following is what was witnessed in that match.

1. Chelsea early lead.

Chelsea got the lead at home early in the 10th minute. This goal started off everything for them and they became set for a bigger win. The goal was scored by their centre-back Thiago Silva after he was assisted by Mason Mount.

2. Tammy Abraham’s brace.

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was on fire that night. He netted twice for The Blues. He scored in the 78th minute from Timo Werner’s assist and also in the 80th minute. This sealed their 3-0 win against the Hammers.

3. Chelsea’s ball possession.

Chelsea were amazing in ball possession. The ball was in their control for the better part of the match and this really gave West Ham problems. The Blues finished the game with a ball possession of 54%.

4. Chelsea’s clean sheet.

Chelsea were able to keep a 3-0 clean sheet that night. They denied West Ham a goal by all means. A clean sheet is very vital as it’s a boost on the goal tally as well as number of clean sheets for the goalkeeper.

5. Lukasz Fabianski’s saves.

West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski tried all the best he could at least to prevent Chelsea from scoring more and more. He made 4 good saves in that match.

6. Chilwell injury.

Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell got injured in the 10th minute and had to come off the pitch. He was replaced by Emerson Palmieri.
