This Is The County That Made President Uhuru To Extend Curfew And Lockdown- Kenyans Reacts

Following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Curfew and lockdown extension on 6th June 2020 in a bold bid to combat the spread of covid-19 pandemic affecting the country, Many Kenyans have reacted on his action. In his speech while addressing the state on covid-19 pandemic on Saturday 6th June 2020, president Uhuru indicated that the the county of Siaya has got only 10 beds to cater for covid-19 patients and out of 10, 9 of them are occupied remaining only with one bed.

However, Kenyans landed on Siaya county political leaders, including Raila Odinga, James Orengo and others over the accusation of less beds in isolation facility to Cater for covid-19 patients. Kenyans further indicated that, it’s Siaya County that Made President Uhuru to extend Curfew and hesitate in reopening of economy that is deteriorating due to covid-19 pandemic paralyzing the country.


The president however indicated that each county should have 300 beds in Isolation facilities to cater for covid-19 patients. Kenyans reacted to Siaya Senator James Orengo and further indicated that the isolation facility in Siaya will be overwhelmed incase covid-19 cases increase in that county.
