R.I.P Popular Royal Media Journalist Dies

Kenyans woke up to sad news concerning the death of a popular royal media Journalist Robin Njogu.Robin Njogu’s death came hours after his mother passed on.

“Royal media journalist Robin Njogu dies hours after the death of his mother;” Nation media posted.

Information Communication Technology cabinet secretary was among the first people to break the news concerning the death of Robin Njogu.

ICT CS Mucheru mourned him as a developer of radio news in Kenya with a very good reputation and integrity.

“I’m saddened to learn of the passing on of Robin Njogu and his mum. Robin was a consummate journalist and contributed heavily to the development of radio news in the country. Sad loss for his young family, RMS and the media fraternity in the country. May God comfort his family,” Joe Mucheru remarked.

He worked at Royal Media Services, Which is among the biggest media stations in Kenya as the Managing Editor (Radio).
Before his demise he worked as an executive member of the Kenya Editors’ Guild (Digital Secretary).

The late Journalist was a well trained fact checker and has been at the forefront of debunking fake news.

He has two decades of experience in the FM radio industry. Previously, he served as the Head of News at Nation Media Group.

Robin provided oversight and input to the launch of Nation FM, a radio station that focused on news and current affairs. Robin also served as News Editor at Capital FM, a Nairobi based radio station.
