Panic As 2 Months-old Tests Covid-19 Positive As Tests Shoots To 879, 261

Kenya today has announced 949 new covid-19 positive cases across the country shooting to 82, 605 total cases recorded since the strike of the virus in Kenya.


According to health CS Mutahi Kagwe, 8,311 samples were conducted for the last 24 hours where 949 individuals were found contradicted with the disease.
It has raised the total sample tested in the country since the first case of covid-19 was recorded in the country in March 2020 to 879,261.


According to Mutahi Kagwe, of the individuals found covid-19 positive, 913 were kenyans and 36 foreigners. 558 are male while 391 are female. The youngest found covid-19 positive is a two months old and the oldest was 100 years old.


According to Ministry of health 4 patients succumbed to the disease turning up total number of fatalities to 1,445 and number of recoveries were 274 shooting to 54,399 total recoveries. 224 were treated in home based care Program while 50 in hospital.


As per report of Saturday, 1,244 patients had been hospitalized Countrywide while 7,829 were in home based care programme.

Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe stated Nairobi county accounted for high number of covid-19 Infections with a record of 400, then followed by Kiambu with 138, Mombasa 71, Kakamega 49 among other countries.
