President Uhuru Kenyatta , the deputy president Dr William Ruto and the former prime minister Raila Odinga spearheaded the process of launching the Building bridges initiative at Bomas Kenya.

Deputy president Dr William Ruto made an outcry for the further amendment of the report because there were some needs of Kenyans that were not met or considered.

Raila Odinga and the president’s team insist that the deputy president Dr William Ruto wants to delay the process of implementing the BBI through the push for change.

The former prime minister wants the report to be passed as it is and then further amendments shall be done later since the referendum shall not be the end.

Since Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga have rolled out a plan to pass the BBI report they are very keen to ensure that none delays the process.

Raila Odinga has faced another blow after the Council of governors Chairman Wycliffe Oparanya called for further changes in the report.

The governors want at least five amendments to the Building bridges initiative which might delay the process of passing BBI.

If the two principals accept the governors recommendations this is likely to result in the push for change in governance as proposed by Ruto.
